I miss you with the intensity of all things blinding and comforting, searing and hypnotic at once and I impatiently await your return. Will you take me within you again? Will you allow me the retreat of your arms? Will you allow me room in the apartments of your heart where you treasure all you will never let go?
Come home. Give me the knowing of you here. Give me another morning to wake up on a wide expanse of sheets that only know your name. Give me time to map your skin with the evidence of fingerprints and moistened mouth-shapes. The bruises, I keep only as long as they would stay. The way I keep you and you keep me.
Come home. Your body over mine nullifies all things.
