Tea trilogy II

There is more love, my love
Stirred into tea
Than you can perceive
Of water and leaves.

Love demands more than a flavour
Love must be divined and then savoured.
But you have drained the silly cup,
Down your gullet in scarcely a gulp.

What could you have tasted of love, indeed?
When you have no hunger, I’ve nothing to feed.
There is no room for carelessness.
No goodbye kiss and the kitchen’s a mess.
